AVAYA IP Endpoint License:
You always need an endpoint license if you want to use a new IP telephone from Avaya in your IPO system. For phones without a license, the message “No license available – emergency calls only” appears after registration. With a phone with this status you can only make emergency calls. For phones from other manufacturers you will find licenses labeled “3rd Party” in the “IP Endpoint” category.
Endpoint licenses: Always in order If
you enter a newly acquired license into your system, previously unlicensed DECT handsets will first receive their approval. This will be followed by all phones without a license. The order is determined by which device was registered first.
The AVAYA softphone and the provider’s communicator do not require a license to operate.
Note : Your IP Office system dongle number is required to activate your license. You can find this in the IP Office Manager under “System” -> “Dongle Serial Number” -> Local. You can then enter the number in the ordering process.
